Zusammenfassung

Die perkutane Alkoholinjektion von nichtoperablen malignen Lebertumoren stellt das älteste lokale Therapieverfahren dar. Die Methode beruht auf einer Proteindenaturierung, die durch die Injektion von hochprozentigem (95%igen) Alkohol hervorgerufen wird (Allgaier 2002). Im Gefolge der zellulären Dehydratation kommt es zu einer Thrombose der kleinen Tumorgefäße mit konsekutivem Auftreten einer Zellischämie.
