The Anatomy of the Veins Draining the Myocardium of Both Ventricles
An extensive intercommunicating network of subepicardially distributed veins provides venous drainage for the coronary circulation (Parsonnet 1953; Waller and Schlant 1994). The ventricular cardiac veins are situated in the epicardium and are therefore easily dissectible throughout most of their course (Figs. 13, 27).
