Abstract
The transition strength of the first excited state in the neutron halo nucleus, 11Be, is known to be the strongest among the light nuclei [1]. In order to measure the transition strength of the particle unbound states and search for soft modes in 11Be, measurements of elastic and inelastic scattering have been performed in inverse kinematics.
