Zusammenfassung
Nebenwirkungen sind unvermeidliche negative Begleitwirkungen einer korrekt durchgeführten Psychotherapie, auch dann, wenn das Therapieziel ohne diese negative Begleitreaktion nicht erreichbar ist. Die Nebenwirkungserfassung beginnt mit der Sammlung unerwünschter Ereignisse. Dabei sind nicht nur Symptome, sondern auch Negativereignisse im sozialen Umfeld (z. B. Kündigung) zu berücksichtigen. Dann ist der Zusammenhang mit der Therapie zu klären unter Bezug auf psychotherapeutische Prozesse wie Theoriemodell, Diagnostik, technische Intervention, Sensitization-Prozesse, Erinnerungsverfälschungen, Enthemmungsphänomene oder die therapeutische Beziehung. Therapeuten, die keine Nebenwirkungen ihrer Therapie sehen, haben sie übersehen.
