Zusammenfassung

Anxiolytika sind angstlösende Substanzen, wobei Benzodiazepine (BZD) die dominierende Gruppe darstellen. Sie haben einen anxiolytischen und sedierenden Effekt; deswegen werden sie auch als Tranquilizer oder Beruhigungsmittel bezeichnet. Der zusätzliche schlafinduzierende, muskelrelaxierende und antikonvulsive Effekt ist in der hier vorgestellten Indikation nicht regelhaft erwünscht.
