Libya is located in North Africa. It covers 1.76 million square kilometres bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, Egypt to the east, Sudan to the southeast, Chad and Niger to the south, and Algeria and Tunisia to the west. The climate is mostly dry and desert like in nature. However, the northern regions enjoy a milder Mediterranean climate. Through the evaluation of global environment competitiveness, we can know that the environment competitiveness index of Libya ranks at 126 among 133 countries.
