It is bordered by Sweden in the west, Norway in the north and Russia in the east, while Estonia lies to its south across the Gulf of Finland. It has a population of 5.39 million and its GDP reaches $263.01 billion in 2011. Through the index system and evaluation model, the environment competitiveness index of Finland ranks at 28 in 133 countries.
