It has a temperate continental climate. It covers140.0 thousand of square kilometers and has a population of 6.98 million. Its GDP reaches $6.52 billion in 2011. Through the index system and evaluation model, the environment competitiveness index of Tajikistan ranks at 116 in 133 countries.
