Abstract

Singapore is a Southeast Asian city-state off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, it is separated from Malaysia by the Straits of Johor to its north and from Indonesia’s Riau Islands by the Singapore Strait to its south.Singapore has a tropical rainforest climate. It covers 0.7 thousand of square kilometers and has a population of 5.18 million. Its GDP reaches $239.70 billion in 2011. Through the index system and evaluation model, the environment competitiveness index of Singapore ranks at 86 in 133 countries.
