Zusammenfassung

Der Begriff »atraumatische Operationstechnik« wurde wohl erstmals vom amerikanischen Chirurgen Sterling Bunnell (1921) verwendet. Er beschreibt den besonders schonenden Umgang mit den verschiedenen anatomischen Strukturen mit dem Ziel einer möglichst geringen Traumatisierung und somit die heute sogenannte »minimalinvasive Operationstechnik«.
