Abstract
In this paper, the technology trends of solid, liquid and gas biofuels were analyzed by using a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis methods. Then, based on patents collected from Derwent Innovation Index (DII), the trends on market expansion, technology development, patent assignee and inventor of international biomass energy technology were elaborated. Results showed that, in the international biomass energy technology market, there was a weakened market expansion ability, steadily increased technology and constantly expanding R&D teams.
