Solving the Dynamic Complexity Dilemma

Abstract

In this chapter we discuss how engineering, good or bad, affects the complexity of business systems especially when their design is modified. We propose that proper engineering is fundamental for business systems if the effects of dynamic complexity are to be understood and controlled. This chapter explains why critical systems, such as those used within financial markets, should be well engineered.

Engineers like to solve problems. If there are no problems handily available, they will create their own problems.
