Abstract
Gartner predicts that “by 2012, 80 % of the world’s Fortune 1000 companies will use Cloud computing services.” Merrill Lynch also forecasts that the worldwide market scale of Cloud computing would reach $95 billion in the next 5 years. As Cloud creates a window of opportunity for new IT purchases, vendor strategy to meet this wave demand becomes paramount to the survival of the stalwarts in the industry. How can technology companies take advantage to lead and participate in this new growth opportunity?
