Abstract
Iphita limbata Stal (Pyrrhocoridae, Hemiptera) is a plant bug commonly occurring in South India. Histophysiological and experimental studies in adull females have shown that the ovary as well as the neurosecretory cells of the par intercerebralis of the brain play a role in the control of oviposition.
