Über freien und „gebundenen“ Zucker in Blut und Organen

Zusammenfassung

Wenn man aus frischem Blut die eiweissartigen Bestandteile in irgendeiner Weise entfernt, bekommt man unter der Voraussetzung, dass bestimmte Kautelen beachtet worden sind, eine wasserklare Flüssigkeit, die mit Überschuss einer alkalischen Lösung eines Cuprisalzes erhitzt, dies teilweise reduziert zur Cuproverbindung: wieviel von der Cupriverbindung reduziert ist, kann man nach verschiedenen Methoden quantitativ bestimmen.
