Social Science Research on CAD/CAM

Abstract

In the last 10–15 years there has been a general increase in research on the social implications of introducing new technology at the workplace. In the Scandinavian countries, social scientists have had different strategies for utilizing the results of this research.

This paper is based on a study by Jesper Holm, Per Langaa Jensen and Niels Miller. The results will be published in a book in Danish: Fagbevaegelsen og alternativ teknologi (Labour Unions and alternative technology), publ. by Teknisk Landsforbund, Copenhagen 1986. References to the Scandinavian research mentioned here can be found in this publication.
