Zusammenfassung
Das Spannungsdehnungsverhalten des Felses besitzt eine große Bedeutung für die Standsicherheitsuntersuchungen und damit für den Entwurf und die Ausführung von Bauwerken in Fels. So stellt bei untertägigen Hohlräumen bereits bei verhältnismäßig geringen Überdeckungen der Fels in Verbindung mit den Sicherungs- und Auskleidungsmaßnahmen in der Regel das eigentliche Tragwerk dar. Ebenso ist bei der Einleitung konzentrierter Lasten in den Felsuntergrund, wie beispielsweise bei Bogenmauern, der Fels ein entscheidender Teil des Tragwerks. Die Verformungen des Felsuntergrundes führen hier zu Beanspruchungen der Mauer und umgekehrt, so daß eine Wechselwirkung zwischen beiden Tragwerksteilen eintritt. Auch bei Böschungen fällt dem Fels im Zusammenwirken mit eventuellen Stützkonstruktionen die Aufgabe zu, die Lasten aus dem Eigengewicht und anderen Einflüssen abzutragen.
