Abstract
The main ideas and notions of probability, discontinuity and determinism discussed here, have also been considered in greater detail by historians and philosophers of science in various contemporary essays contained in two volumes on “the probabilistic revolution” [1,2]. The rather slow emergence of probabilism vs. determinism, may be ascribed to the arguments and discussions that were directed against the probabilistic view in the last century.
