Abstract

In the previous chapter we discussed the structural properties of percolation systems, in particular close to the percolation threshold. To describe the percolation transition we studied geometrical quantities such as the cluster size distribution n s, the mean size S of a finite cluster, the correlation length ζ, and the probability P that an occupied site belongs to the infinite cluster. These quantities are characterized by the critical exponents σ and τ, γ, v, and β, respectively, which are not independent of each other. If one knows two exponents, the others follow.
