Abstract

In most hips, the tissues seem to react advantageously to adequate reduction of the articular compressive stresses. Long follow-up studies and a statistical analysis are necessary in order to find out whether this is the rule and whether this reaction is lasting. If it is, our approach to the problem of osteoarthritis makes practical sense.
