Zusammenfassung

Das Gold besitzt eine charakteristische gelbe Farbe (Goldgelb). Dieselbe ist um so heller, je mehr Silber es enthält. In feiner Vertheilung und in dünnen Blättchen ändert sich diese Farbe in roth, blau und grün. So erscheint das fein vertheilte Gold im Rubinglas und Goldpurpur dunkelroth, während dünne Goldblättchen im durchfallenden Lichte grün erscheinen.
