Abstract

4-Nitroquinoline 1-oxide was first synthesized by Ochiai and his collaborators in 1942 and the carcinogenicity of this compound was established in 1957 by Nakaharp and his colleagues at the Cancer Institute, Japanese Foundation for Cancer Research.
