Zusammenfassung

In den letzten 20 Jahren wurde auf dem Gebiet der Arterienwiederherstellung eine solche Fülle experimenteller und klinischer Ergebnisse erarbeitet, daß eine knappe Darstellung der gefäßchirurgischen Grundlagen nur den Sinn haben kann, Anregung zu vermitteln und Hinweise auf die speziellen Kapitel des Buches und auf einschlägige Originalarbeiten zu geben. Unter Verzicht auf die traditionelle historische Abhandlung (s. Operationslehren [92 a, 119, 123, 174]) sollen die Voraussetzungen und die Verfahren der Strombahnwiederherstellung sowie die Problematik des Gefäßersatzes aus heutiger Sicht hervorgehoben werden.
