Abstract

When locating the ROI (region of interest) with the help of patient feedback, the point of maximum pain is palpated and marked (X) on the skin. Using the marking of the shock wave path on the coupling cushion, the therapeutic focus is placed either directly (OPM = one point method) or tangentially (TPM = two point method) at the ROI.
