Zusammenfassung
Die Bundesforschungsanstalt für Landeskunde und Raumordnung betreibt kontinuierlich Forschung auf dem Gebiet der Prognostik. Als wissenschaftlich unabhängige Forschungseinrichtung des Bundes im Geschäftsbereich des Raumordnungsministeriums wurde sie in ihrem Gründungserlaß von 1973 beauftragt,
-
die gegenwärtigen und künftigen räumlichen Entwicklungen in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland zu beobachten und darüber zu berichten,
-
das raumordnungspolitische Zielsystem fortzuentwickeln sowie
-
Ziel- und Wirkungsprognosen zu bearbeiten.
