Zusammenfassung
Seit der Beobachtung einer blutdrucksenkenden Wirkung von Prostaglandinen wird deren Rolle für die Blutdruckregulation und ihre Beteiligung am Wirkungsmechanismus antihypertensiv wirkender Substanzen untersucht. Eine Beziehung zwischen Prostaglandinsystem und arterieller Hypertonie liegt nahe, weil Prostaglandine z. T. vasodilatierende Eigenschaften besitzen, den peripheren Gefäßwiderstand senken, natriuretisch wirken und den Effekten des sympathischen Systems sowie des Renin-Angiotensin-Systems entgegengerichtet sind. Durch Interferrenzen mit dem renalen Kallekrein-Kinin-System sowie eine direkte lokale Wirkung auf die glatte Gefäßmuskulatur sind weitere Hinweise auf eine Beteiligung von Prostaglandinen an der Blutdruckregulation gegeben.
