Abstract
Currently there are two main principles for the topical treatment of inflammatory dermatoses. First there are topical glucocorticoids [5] and second there are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory dermatics, e.g. bufexamac, chamomile extract and hamamelis destillate [2, 25]. In recent years there was an increase in the efficacy of topical glucocorticoids due to the introduction of new compounds. Yet, in parallel, there was an increase in unwanted effects, e.g. atrophy of the skin treated and suppression of the hypothalamic-pitui-tary-adrenal axis [5].
