Zusammenfassung

In diesem Saal ist zuletzt vor 15 Jahren beim 71. Kongreß im Rahmen des ersten Hauptthemas „Hypothalamische Steuerung des Hypophysenvorderlappens“ am Rande auch über das Cushing-Syndrom verhandelt worden. Die seither erarbeiteten Fortschritte basieren auf den Entwicklungen der mikrochirurgischen Technik, der Radiologie und der sicherer gewordenen Hormonanalytik. Am auffälligsten sind das pathophysiologische Verständnis, die Präzision der Diagnose und die therapeutischen Ergebnisse verbessert worden.
