Zusammenfassung

Interferon ist ein physiologisches antivirales Protein. In bislang drei virologisch kontrollierten klinischen Studien (Sundmacher et al., 1976; Sundmacher et al., 1977; unveröffentlicht) haben wir nachgewiesen, daß die Keratitis dendritica schneller und komplikationsloser abheilt, wenn man einer schonenden Epithel-abrasio eine lokale Interferon-Behandlung nachfolgen läßt. Interferon verhindert die viralen epithelialen Frührezidive nach Abrasio.
