Monte Carlo Studies of Surface-Induced Ordering in Cu3Au-Type Alloy Models

Abstract

Using Monte Carlo simulations we study order-disorder phenomena near the surface to compare with experimental results for CU3AU alloys. Our simulations reveal possible new ordering cases near the surface which could lead to surface induced ordering.
