Abstract
In this paper, a conceptual framework is developed for evaluating and comparing discrete alternative multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods available for a given decision situation. The procedure employed in the framework guides the user through an analysis of the decision situation making it possible for a decision maker or analyst to select the most appropriate MCDM method from among several alternative feasible methods.
