Kurzfassung

Die Softwareentwicklung gewinnt neben der theoretischen Forschung in der Artificial Intelligence immer mehr Bedeutung. Ausgehend von Personal Computern, traditionellen Mehrbenutzersystemen, Workstations und AI-Maschinen, werden deren spezifische Kennzeichen erläutert, wobei die Zunahme der Leistungsfähigkeit die Richtung bestimmt. Den Abschluß bildet ein Ausblick auf neue Techologien.
