Abstract
New experimental investigations of correlation effects in neon are presented. Elastic differential scattering cross sections are measured with 0.1% precision, using 35 keV incident electrons. Energy analysis is accomplished with a Mollenstedt analyzer. The results, expressed in terms of a delta sigma curve and potential energy quantities, show agreement with straightforward CI theories and disagreement with Bethe-Goldstone predictions. This is in contrast to previous measurements of Duguet et al.
