Abstract

In this chapter we are going to discuss three problems which are related to effects of changes in wages, productivity and demand. We will discuss these problems keeping some aspects of inflation in mind. The concept “inflation” can be interpreted in at least two different ways. First, it can be interpreted as a cause of a general rise in prices and second as a synonym for a general rise in prices. It is not always clear which interpretation different authors use. However, when it comes to explaining inflation, it is easier to distinguish between different “schools”. At least two “schools” can be found.
