Zusammenfassung
Der Säure-Basen-Haushalt des menschlichen Blutes wird ganz wesentlich durch seine extra- und intracellulären Puffersysteme bestimmt. Hierzu gehören das Bicarbonat-System (H2CO3/HCO3 −), das Phosphat-System (H2PO4 −/HPO4 −−) sowie die Eiweißpuffer in Plasma und Erythrocytes Jedes dieser Puffersysteme, bestehend aus einer schwachen Säure und ihrer korrespondierenden Base, entfaltet seine Wirksamkeit entsprechend den vorliegenden Konzentrationen von H+-Donator (Säure) und H+-Acceptor (Base) sowie nach Maßgabe des pH-abhängigen Dissoziationsgrades.
