Abstract
Traumatic disk herniations are found in 3% to 30% of spinal injuries [47, 53, 75, 111]. They may be seen in association with fractures, dislocations, gunshot wounds or without any associated injury (“isolated traumatic disk herniation”) and may be the source of neurologic deficits [93].
