Abstract
Over the past years a number of different stochastic models have been developed with the object to elaborate an optimal strategy for early detection of cancer diseases. The basis of such a model are assumptions on the natural history of the disease and on the sreening examinations. Moreover, to apply the model one requires estimations for the used unknown parameters.
