Abstract
The paper presents the first in the literature stochastic model of answering interview questions, where the latter process is assumed to be an internal decision process governed by a number of often competing tendencies (e.g. tendency to give the true answer, tendency to give a socially approved answer, etc.). This model may be used for simulation, and it was found to reproduce fairly well the existing data from sociological studies, where both the true and the given answer were known.
