Complications and Mishaps in Anesthesia

Abstract

Dr. Leto had almost 3 years of experience in anesthesiology. As part of her residency, she was currently in orthopedics, a department that she enjoyed due to the many regional anesthesia techniques. Today was foot day. In her OR, there were 6 ft surgeries scheduled: one hallux valgus, one Charcot foot, and four diabetic feet. The hallux valgus procedure was first on the schedule. Dr. Leto had used general anesthesia with a laryngeal mask airway, which went without incident. Now Ms. Lee was in the OR.
