Abstract

This is the final chapter, which includes the basic conclusions for previous seven chapters, and the potential outlook of the research topic. Although the techniques of emergy accounting have advanced remarkably in recent decades, many important questions have not yet been answered, and there is much room for methodological improvements in future research, such as the more exact transformity, the emergy quantifying technique for waste treatment processes, and dealing with the catabolic processes in the systems.
