Störungen der sexuellen Differenzierung

Zusammenfassung

Anstelle früher verwendeter Begriffe für eine nicht eindeutig bestimmbare Geschlechtszuweisung spricht man heute von Störungen der sexuellen Differenzierung (disorders of sexual differentiation = DSD). Solche Störungen können Folge chromosomaler, gonadaler oder hormoneller Veränderungen sein. Entsprechend sind folgende Störungen zu unterscheiden: geschlechtschromosomale DSD mit numerischen chromosomalen Aberrationen sowie 46,XX DSD und 46,XY DSD jeweils bedingt durch Störungen der gonadalen Entwicklung bzw. durch Störungen der Hormonsynthese/-wirkung.
