Zusammenfassung
Etwa 70% der epileptischen Kinder haben eine normale intellektuelle Leistungsfähigkeit oder weisen nur leichte Einschränkungen wie z. B. Teilleistungsstörungen auf, so dass sie eine Normal- oder Förderschule besuchen können. Zwischen 20 und 30% der Kinder sind stärker leistungsgemindert und nur etwa 3–5% sind so schwer beeinträchtigt, dass sie elementarer heilpädagogischer Förderung bedürfen.
