Zusammenfassung
Infektionen des zentralen Nervensystems im Kindesalter können mit Krampfanfällen einhergehen und Ursache einer sekundären Epilepsie sein. Darüber hinaus wurde in den letzten Jahren auch zunehmend deutlich, dass immunologische Mechanismen eine wichtige Rolle in der Pathogenese von Epilepsien spielen können.
