Neben den klassischen Hepatitisviren A-E gibt es zahlreiche andere Viren, die unter bestimmten Umständen eine Hepatitis auslösen können. Diese Inflammation der Leber kann Ausdruck einer Infektion mit führender Lebermanifestation sein, oder es kann sich um eine Begleithepatitis im Rahmen einer systemischen Entzündung handeln.
