Zusammenfassung

Da eine Niereninsuffizienz oft – sogar über Jahre hinweg – asymptomatisch verlaufen kann, fehlen meist Hinweise zum genauen Erkrankungsbeginn. Eine geringe oder gar fehlende Ausscheidung spricht zwar für ein akutes Nierenversagen, akutes (oligurisch) – ist sie erhalten, ist ein solches jedoch nicht sicher ausgeschlossen. Man spricht dann von einem nicht-oligurischen akuten Nierenversagen.
