Abstract

Performing mathematical analysis and getting concise conclusions may help readers understand the physical realities no matter what educational backgrounds they have. The main strength in this chapter is to discuss the reasons why the geostationary orbit is unstable and how the evolutions of the geostationary orbit elements are caused by perturbation factors. All of the discussions are based on the famous Lagrange equation of planetary motion. No more additional variable transformation and advanced physical background are needed for understanding the equation.
