Zusammenfassung
Das Anästhesieteam bewegt sich jeden Tag in einem hygienesensiblen Bereich mit hohem Infektionsund Übertragungsrisiko für die ihm anvertrauten Patienten. Durch strikte Finhaltung der Standardhygiene und insbesondere der häufigen alkoholischen Händedesinfektion vor und nach Patientenkontakt sowie v. a. vor aseptischen Tätigkeiten während der Narkose und die optimierte Gestaltung des perioperativen Prozesses unter infektionspräventiven Gesichtspunkten kann das Anästhesieteain einen entscheidenden Beitrag zur Infektionsprävention leisten. Für den Erfolg müssen die geeigneten Ressourcen in Form von Schulung, ausreichend ausgebildetem Personal, Arbeitsmaterialien und die Zeit für die sorgfältige Ausführung bereitgestellt werden. Dieser Weiterbildungsbeitrag beschreibt die empfohlenen Vorgehensweisen aufgrund der aktuellen Literatur und Leitlinien, die häufigsten Fehlerquellen und Hinweise für ihre Vermeidung.
