Abstract

Previous chapters in this volume have examined and discussed viral inflammatory and neoplastic disorders with a clear viral etiopathogenesis, i.e., pneumonias secondary to influenza or the more newly recognized pneumonias secondary to emergent viral zoonosis such as those associated with the Hendra or Nipah viruses.
