Eine Gruppe von Lymphozyt en erlangt ihre biologische Funktions fähigkeit durch Reifung im Thymus. Man bezeichnet diese Zellen als T-Lymphozyten. Die T-Lymphozyten stellen die zentrale Schalt stelle der erworbenen Immunantwort dar.
