Abstract
Based on the analysis of the operating sequence for assembly of the new ARJ-21 regional aircraft and the production efficiency after long-term practice and research, this paper presents a second design and development of the preparation method of operatingoperating sequence chart (OSC) for aircraft assembly using both industrial engineering (IE) technology and computer tools. The original complex and tedious manual control is substituted by rapid and accurate computer control to improve production efficiency, which facilitates IE to play a greater role in the aviation industry.
